Our Philosophy

The ‘boring’ stuff still works

Long-term investing. Thoughtful tax, estate, and risk planning. Real relationships. Intentional living. We believe in evidenced-based, boringly effective investment principles.

It’s about more than money

Wealth without vitality is, unfortunately, one of our industry’s biggest blind spots. Our planning process aims to think differently about aging, healthspan, and your next chapter.

We think in decades, not quarters

The best outcomes in wealth (and health) often come from simple decisions repeated consistently over time. Compounding doesn’t happen overnight.

Earls Financial is a fiduciary, fee-only Registered Investment Advisor based in Lindale, Texas. We help pre-retirees, retirees, and business owners as they move into the next chapter.

The firm is led by CFP® and CEPA® Professional, Ben Earls. We’re members of Fee-Only Network, XYPN, and NAPFA. In addition to meeting clients in Lindale and Fort Worth, we also serve clients remotely all over the country.

How We Help

Retirement Income Planning

We help you become more intentional about how to turn your savings into a thoughtful plan for funding the years ahead. We want you to worry less about charts, stats, the market, and the economy, and have more time for enjoying exactly what’s important to you in the next chapter.

Investment Management

We help you build and maintain a portfolio specifically designed to support your lifestyle. Evidence-based investing. Disciplined. Diversified. Tax efficient. We continuously monitor your portfolio for rebalancing and tax-gain/loss harvesting opportunities. And we help coordinate withdrawals so you can be confident you’re optimizing your financial situation.

Integrated Tax Planning

Tax planning is not just something we do once per year. We have to be intentional about taxes with every financial move. We help you make more coordinated decisions about withdrawal sequences, Roth conversions, working to avoid IRMAA, and other planning opportunities to make the most of what you’ve saved.

Social Security and Medicare

We help you optimize your Social Security timing plan and integrate it into the overall retirement income plan. We also want to help you make sure your spouse is taken care of on this front when you’re gone. Our network of allied professionals includes Medicare experts that will help you make the best decision there, too.

Insurance and Estate Planning‍

We help you mitigate risks and protect what you’ve built. Insurance and estate planning is a huge part of making sure you’re covered. We don’t sell insurance but we’ll help you evaluate things like life insurance, health insurance, and long-term care policies. And we’ll help you coordinate getting your estate in order like a will vs a trust and proper beneficiary designations.

Who We Work With

We work best with people who want more than a “money manager” for their investments. They're looking for a trusted financial partner who understands their goals and helps them make important decisions.

You might be a good fit if:

  • You're approaching retirement or already enjoying it, and want greater confidence in your financial decisions.

  • You've accumulated meaningful savings and want to make sure you're making the most of what you've built.

  • You want to be thoughtful about taxes, retirement income, and investment risk.

  • You'd rather spend your time enjoying life than managing every detail of your financial affairs.

  • You want to know your spouse or family will be well cared for when you’re gone.

  • You value your health, independence, and longevity (carnivores and ketovores in particular).

We're intentional about the relationships we build. We believe the best financial planning happens when we get to know each other, share similar values, and work together over many years.

A Note About Our Services

Our ongoing wealth management relationships typically involve families with $500,000 or more in investable assets. We also offer flat-fee financial planning for those who may not need ongoing investment management. If you're wondering whether we're a good fit, we'd welcome a conversation.
